From the coastal city of Varna, Bulgaria, to the kart tracks of Christchurch, Stoyan Stoyanov brings an international racing story to the IORK grid.
An engineer by profession, Stoyan has always been drawn to the technical side of motorsport, but it's the thrill of racing that keeps him coming back.
Like many fans around the world, his passion for speed was sparked by Formula One, with two-time World Champion Fernando Alonso standing out as his racing hero.
While this will be his first appearance in IORK, Stoyan is far from a complete newcomer. He has competed at Supa Karts Christchurch and gained karting experience back in Bulgaria, giving him a unique perspective as he takes on New Zealand's premier rental karting championship.
For Stoyan, racing is about more than just results. He loves the challenge of finding speed, improving his driving, and enjoying the competition alongside fellow racers. His goal for the championship is straightforward: have fun, keep learning, and perform better every time he climbs into the kart.
Away from the track, Stoyan is known for his distinctive accent, something he jokes is one of his most memorable traits. But once the helmet goes on, the focus shifts entirely to chasing lap times and making the most of every opportunity.
With engineering precision, international experience, and a genuine passion for racing, Stoyan will be a fascinating driver to watch throughout his debut IORK campaign.
Good luck for your first IORK season, Stoyan - we're looking forward to seeing what you can achieve against some of the country's best rental kart racers.
