š¦ Driver Spotlight: Caleb Barr š¦

Meet 19-year-old Caleb Barr from Christchurch, returning for his second IORK appearance - and after what he's achieved since his debut, he's definitely one to watch šš„
Caleb's motorsport journey started in a pretty familiar way: watching racing with his old man and dreaming that one day it could be him behind the wheel. Formula 1, Supercars, NASCAR and MotoGP were the inspiration - but IORK gave him a chance to actually start making that dream a reality.
While on holiday in Nelson in 2024, Caleb spotted IORK and decided to give it a crack. He finished an impressive 5th in his debut, where he also met Dan from CKT Racing, who encouraged him to get involved in competitive karting back in Christchurch.
Caleb's ultimate goal is to climb into whatever racing series he can and build a name for himself that is "feared and respected." š
He's also already had some pretty cool international racing experiences. In 2024, Caleb travelled to Japan to watch the Formula 1 Japanese Grand Prix, before travelling throughout the country and driving at around 10 different karting tracks in Suzuka and Tokyo.
For IORK 2026, Caleb will be competing in the 69.9kg & Under category and after finishing 5th in his debut year and making such a big jump in his racing since then, he'll be looking to go even further this time around.
Good luck Caleb! We're looking forward to seeing whether he can turn all that recent success into an IORK podium this year šš
