š¦ Driver Spotlight: Harry Owers š¦

Meet 16-year-old Harry Owers from Christchurch, who is making his IORK debut this year! š
Harry's love of racing started young, when his dad bought him a sim racing wheel for Christmas. Safe to say, it didn't take long for him to catch the racing bug - and he's been hooked ever since š®šļø
Now he's taking that passion from the virtual world to the real track for the first time, competing in the 18 & Under category at IORK 2026.
While this will be Harry's first IORK, he's certainly not short on racing ambition. His ultimate goal is to make it all the way to GT3, with Formula 1 or WEC representing the kind of racing he'd love to reach one day.
His biggest racing inspiration? Liam Lawson - a fitting choice for a young Kiwi driver with big motorsport ambitions.
Away from racing, Harry is a student at Christchurch Boys' High School, but he's clearly got plenty of speed outside the kart too. His fun fact? He can run an 11-second 100m! ššØ
With this being his first IORK and plenty of racing ahead of him, Harry is one of the young drivers with a lot to prove - and even more to look forward to.
Welcome to IORK, Harry! š We can't wait to see how your first real-world racing experience goes!
