IORK 2026 — FIVE WEEKS TO GO!
The countdown is well and truly on.
We are now five weeks away from the 2026 New Zealand Rental Go Kart Championships, and everything is coming together brilliantly behind the scenes.
Ticket sales are going well, with several categories now nearly full and only a few places remaining.
If you are planning to race at IORK 2026 but have not yet entered, now is the time to secure your place on the grid.
CKT LIVESTREAM TEST COMPLETE
Our CKT Nelson Round Eight livestream has now been completed, giving us another valuable opportunity to test our production system ahead of IORK.
Overall, the livestream went well. We identified a few minor issues during the broadcast, but these should be straightforward to fix as we continue improving the production.
We are also adding four more high-quality cameras to the system and removing a couple of cameras that were not delivering the picture quality we wanted.
These additions will give us even better coverage around the circuit and help us deliver a stronger, more professional livestream for IORK 2026.
The next test will be CKT Nelson Round Nine on 25 September, which will be fully livestreamed. We may even have some commentary for this round, which could make it an exciting preview of what is coming for IORK.

MORE THAN 20 CLOSELY MATCHED KARTS
We have been completing extensive testing across our expanded kart fleet, and the results are looking extremely promising.
We expect to have more than 20 karts available that are all within just a couple of tenths of a second of one another.
We are extremely impressed with both the parity and depth of the fleet. Considerable work has gone into preparing, testing and refining the karts to produce the closest and fairest racing possible.
The fleet is looking strong, consistent and ready for an epic four days of racing.
FIVE WEEKS TO GO — AVAILABLE PLACES
With only five weeks remaining, several categories are getting close to capacity.
Current places available:
🏁 Under 69 kg: 3 places left 🏁 70 to 84.9 kg: Approximately 12 places left 🏁 85 to 99.9 kg: 10 places left 🏁 100 kg and above: 4 places left 🏁 Under 18: 4 places left
If you are planning to compete, jump in quickly and secure your place. Once a category reaches capacity, entries for that category will close.
TEAMS CHAMPIONSHIP UPDATE
Tickets for the New Zealand Teams Endurance Rental Kart Championship have taken a little longer than planned to prepare, but we are hoping to have them available next week.
The updated provisional rules are now live for everyone to read. We have made several changes to the event format and rules, so we encourage all prospective teams and drivers to review them.
With large trophies already ordered for the leading teams, this is shaping up to be an exciting addition to the IORK weekend.
Further ticketing information will be released as soon as entries open.
MORE TROPHIES AND MORE REASONS TO RACE
We have also ordered trophies for every qualifying heat winner at IORK 2026.
Winning an IORK heat is an achievement in itself, and we want to recognise the drivers who deliver outstanding performances throughout the qualifying stages.
Alongside the major Championship trophies and the new Teams Championship trophies, there will be plenty to race for across the entire event.
DRIVER PROFILES WANTED
If you have entered IORK 2026, do not forget to submit your driver profile.
More competitor profiles will be released over the coming weeks, helping everyone get to know the drivers who will be battling for this year’s national titles.
Some of our favourite profiles will also be featured in the official IORK 2026 Championship Race Programme.
Make sure you send yours in so we can introduce you to the IORK community and potentially feature your story in the programme.

We recommend booking as soon as possible, as accommodation near the venue may become limited closer to Championship week.
